Please, please, please try to let us know if you are going to want tickets, in good time.
Jazz at the Arts Centre is getting more and more popular and it gets more difficult to ensure tickets for the “Regulars”, so let us know on your way out, or by ‘phoning us, otherwise we regret that we cannot guarantee availability.
Finally, a big thank-you for your support, we couldn’t continue to attract such superb bands without

John Hallam Jazztet with Jeff Barnhart What a fabulous way to start the autumn season. John, of course, has played at the A/C many times, most recently when he stepped in at the last minute to help out the Old Fashioned Love Band, when Mike Turner couldn't make it. John has appeared all over the country, and recorded several CDs, with Jeff Barnhart, so they know one another well. Jeff is a great pianist, who is also the master Fats Waller interpreter and we are sure of a fabulous evening. Trust me!

Wabash Jazzmen It is two years since the Wabash appeared at the A/C so they will be raring to go, as they were supposed to be here in January but in the end were unable to make it. I can't believe there is a better five piece band in the country, with as dynamic a rhythm section as you will ever hear.
November 1st
Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz As you know, we try to give you a mix of the old and the new, or should I say bands who have played before and those who haven't. Mart is bringing the "boys" for the somethingth time and is sure to entertain us with his own unique style of swinging jazz and soothing ballads, a real treat.

James Evans Incredible String Four with Jonny Boston We started with something special and we are ending the year in the same vein. I really don't know where to start. Most of you will remember the night that James came and brought Enrico Tomasso, to augment the string four, what a great night it was. Well, this will be every bit as good as that, and better. James and Jonny have played together for years, were at Leeds College of Music together, and are just sensational both individually and as a dual front line. When Carole found out that they were coming, it was as though we had won the lottery, well it's not, it's better.
