The latest Hot Jazz Channel show is now live at www. radiojazz. co. uk
The show this month begins and ends with all-time classic tracks including a piano segment, and has a mid section featuring current bands and new to the air CDs.
Featured in the mid-section are the Heliotrope Ragtime Orchestra, Le Rois Du Fox Trot, Dan Levinson's Trans-Atlantic Saxtette, the Natural Gas Jazz Band celebrating their 40th Anniversary, the Jambalaya Trio of clarinettist Dick Cook and Rod Lehr's Powerhouse Five - an "extract" from the St. Louis Rivermen.
The show's classic sections feature tracks by King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band, Miss Lulu White's Red Hot Creole Jazz Band, Clarence Pinetop Smith, Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton (piano solo), Dink Johnson and JRM's Red Hot Peppers.
All the CDs featured are reviewed within the web site.
